    Contractor Safety

While most employers recognise their requirements for the health and safety of their employees, their health and safety obligations to contractors, and the contractor's employees, are not as widely understood.

Contractors must ensure their employees and subcontractors are aware of both their company's safety requirements and that of the workplace in which they are carrying out their work.

This training DVD has been produced to assist all workplace parties to understand their obligations in light of current OHS legislation.

This presentation discusses the importance of:

    • Communication
    • The JSA
    • Risk control, including the hierarchy of controls
    • Duty of care
    • Accident and incident reporting
    • Safe tools and equipment
    • Emergency and evacuation procedures
