On Wednesday US President Barack Obama sent top experts to aid BP in its battle to cap the sunken rig and stop a huge Gulf of Mexico oil spill. The Deepwater Horizon rig exploded on April 20, off the Louisiana coast, killing 11 workers and sinking two days later.
